There are four requirements:

1. hold a Master's Degree or have significant research experience;
2. identify a receiving team associated with the School that will propose a thesis subject;
3. be accepted by the Thesis Advisor who has proposed the thesis subject;
4. have sufficient funding for three years.

Registration must be done with both the Systems Doctoral School (download the registration form) and with one of the partner teaching institutions of the Systems Doctoral School. This institution is chosen by your Thesis Advisor according to its relevance and that of its laboratory, and in agreement with the Doctoral School.

When a Doctorate is done jointly in a French University and a foreign institution, the thesis may be prepared in "Cotutelle" (Joint Thesis Supervision).
